Leadership Behind LunaCap

Paul Capon is an investor, entrepreneur, and executive with more than a decade of experience managing teams, investing in businesses, and leading companies across private equity, venture capital, growth-stage, and distressed situations. He began his career as a U.S. Air Force officer, serving as a captain responsible for more than 150 personnel and completing over 100 convoy missions in Afghanistan.

In 2015, Paul founded LunaCap Ventures, a venture debt firm focused on hybrid growth capital investing, where he has led and executed more than 30 investments. His operating experience includes serving as Vice Chairman of a portfolio company that he helped guide out of distress and through a successful sale, as well as CEO of Wessex Press, where he increased revenue eightfold and led the company to its first profitable year since inception.

Paul is also the founder and CEO of Stellar Alliance, a private equity and venture capital group focused on aerospace and defense. He serves on the board of New Majority Capital and founded the LunaCap Foundation, a nonprofit providing scholarships to veterans and Mexicans attending leading business schools.

Paul holds a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy and MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School.

Sivan Kalms is a talent acquisition and recruiting leader with more than a decade of experience identifying and recruiting high-impact professionals and senior executives across technology, finance, sales, legal, and corporate functions. Throughout her career, she has partnered directly with leading CEOs, CFOs, and senior leadership teams to build organizations and recruit for critical leadership positions.

Most recently, Sivan served as the in-house lead talent acquisition partner for one of the top FinTech companies in the United States, overseeing the full recruiting lifecycle and successfully recruiting senior executives, including the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Product Officer, Chief Credit and Banking Officer, VP of Engineering, and VP of Lending and Technology.

Previously, Sivan led technical recruiting across engineering and product design at Amazon, where she was recognized as the highest-producing Software Development Engineer recruiter at Ring. Prior to Amazon, Sivan helped lead product and technical recruiting at Internet Brands, one of the world's leading global digital media companies, where she specialized in recruiting senior talent across brands including WebMD, CarsDirect, Avvo, and Martindale-Nolo.

Her experience spans executive search, technical recruiting, candidate assessment, compensation negotiation, talent strategy, and full-cycle recruitment. She brings a relationship-driven approach to connecting exceptional professionals with organizations where they can have meaningful impact.

As Co-Founder of LunaCap Executive Group, Sivan leads executive search and recruiting strategy, partnering with organizations to identify exceptional leaders while developing relationships with executives across LunaCap’s broader professional network.
